Privacy policy
This policy applies to the website moonsling.de and to the “Moonsling” app for Android and iOS. Last updated: October 2026. The German version is legally binding.

2. This website
The website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich in Germany. When you visit it, the server necessarily processes your IP address to deliver the page (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). No access logs (server logs) are kept for this website, so your IP address is not stored. A data processing agreement is in place with the host.
The website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools and loads no content from third-party servers. Fonts and code are served from the same server.
3. The app
3.1 Progress on your device
Your progress and settings are stored locally on your device. This data only leaves the device through the cloud backup described below.
3.2 Cloud save and account (Google Firebase)
To back up your progress and let it move to new devices, the app uses Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
- On first launch you receive an anonymous user ID. This ID and your progress (e.g. scores, stardust, upgrades, achievements) are stored.
- If you choose to link your Google or Apple account, the ID of that account and the email address and, where provided, the name sent by Google or Apple are also processed.
- Saves are stored in a data center in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Processing by Google LLC in the USA cannot be ruled out; Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
The legal basis is performance of the contract of use (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Data is kept until you delete it (see section 5).
So that events and weekly rules can change without an app update, the app loads game settings via Firebase Remote Config. This processes a random installation ID of the app, but no name or email address (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3.3 Leaderboards and achievements (Google Play Games, Apple Game Center)
Leaderboards and achievements run on Google Play Games Services (Android) or Apple Game Center (iOS). Your player ID, scores and unlocked achievements are sent to Google or Apple. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Google’s and Apple’s privacy policies also apply.
3.4 Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app is free and funded by ads from Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited). This involves processing your device’s advertising ID, IP address (and an approximate location derived from it), device data and interactions with ads in order to serve ads, measure their performance and prevent fraud.
On first launch the app asks for your consent. You only receive personalized ads if you consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). Without consent, Google shows non-personalized or limited ads, which still require technically necessary data. You can change your choice at any time in the app under Settings → “Ad privacy”. Data may be transferred to the USA; Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
3.5 No other sharing
I do not sell any data and use no other analytics or tracking services.
4. Age
The app is intended for people aged 13 and over.
5. Delete your progress and account
In the app: Settings → “Delete progress and account” deletes your progress on the device and in the cloud as well as your account. A linked Google or Apple account is disconnected.
By email: Write to support@moonsling.de with the subject “Deletion request”. I will then delete your cloud save and your account, including the linked email address, usually within 30 days. Please include the email address of your linked Google or Apple account.
Leaderboard entries and achievements on Google Play Games or Game Center are managed in your Google or Apple account settings.
6. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and the right to withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live.
7. Changes
I update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The version published here applies.
